Victor Chandler Poker, est. 2002, is one of the two more popular iPoker Network skins alongside Titan Titan Poker review. The VC poker room is part of Newcote Services Ltd which resides in Gibraltar and holds a government gaming licence. Besides poker, The Victor Chandler Group consists of a well-known sports betting department and a Playtech/Chartwell powered casino.

The lobby itself is typical of an iPoker network room, nothing flashy with only the more basic functions such as a help page, a few casino games and contact info. There is, however, a function called 'Manager Chat' implemented so that you can seek help in emergency situations which is good should you need it. Other that that, it's just your typical poker lobby.

Ring game traffic on Victor Chandler is very high. Several thousand players meet up here to partake in the everyday action. NLHE players will not be disappointed, there is always hundreds of active cash tables to choose from, full ring, heads-up and shorthanded alike. You'll find limits from as little as $0.01/0.02 to $25/50 with plenty of action on each level. Games with blinds from $0.05/0.10 to $2/4 seem to be the most popular with a huge number of ongoing tables any time of day. Higher stakes players needn't worry, there are always plenty of seats for you too.

The LHE section is almost as good, there is always a good selection of tables from $0.05/0.10 to $10/20. Tables up to $300/600 are listed but they hardly ever run except for the odd shorthanded $50/100. PLO action is also rather good, you will always find 20-30 tables in the $0.02/0.04 to $2/4 range. Other games such as Omaha Hi-Lo and Stud are scarce.

Victor Chandler offers a healthy variety of tournaments, everything from daily freerolls to more pricey ones with buy-ins of several hundred dollars. MTTs from 50c to $10 are of course the most popular but there are many slightly more expensive ones for the skilled players as well, the daily $20K rebuy and the weekly $50K freezeout to name but a few.

More than 30 tournaments with a guaranteed prize pool from $500 to $7,500 is offered every single day, a paradise for players who prefer these. The Sit & Go section is really crowded and action-packed, I counted 250 active tables between 10c and $200 when I last checked and that's a lot. It doesn't matter if you play the 10c or the $50 ones, there's always a seat with your name on it. Victor Chandler has a great SnG progressive jackpot promotion where winning consecutive SnGs can earn you megabucks, see the VC Poker website for more details.

Promotions And Support

There are two welcome bonuses to choose between, the 100% match/$200 max and the 200% match/$600 max. They both carry the same requirements, 80 Action Points(APs) must be earned for every bonus dollar, that's 48,000 APs for the bigger one. This means you will have to play between 3500-30,000 hands depending on level in order to release the full amount($600). If you are a $5/10 or above player, this bonus will clear in a few days. Below that, it will take forever which makes this bonus a decent one at best. Monthly reloads of up to $250 with the exact same requirements are offered. APs can also be used to enter selected tournaments and to buy merchandise from the Action Point Store.

Victor Chandler support is very good, all emails are answered with a few hours. If you prefer contacting them by phone there is a freephone (UK) number listed. Being professional and nice, staff are generally very pleasant to deal with.

For deposits, choose any of these methods: Neteller, VISA/MasterCard, Bank Transfer, EcoCard, Western Union or VISA Electron (limited use, check with your back first). Withdrawals are fast, within 24 hours to Neteller and 3-4 days to VISA. This is slightly above average compared to other poker rooms.

This is a great place to play poker. Loads of cash games and STTs along with excellent customer service and fast cashouts, what else are you looking for when deciding where to play? A better welcome bonus would be appreciated perhaps, but Victor Chandler still receives a solid 4 stars.
