Parbet poker was established in 2005 and started out as a Microgaming Poker Network site but migrated to Tain shortly thereafter. Earlier this year, Cryptologic purchased Parbet and the poker branch was moved to the company's own network. Just like all other Cryptologic network poker rooms, it uses Wagerlogic software which is very popular among us europeans. Parbet's poker lobby is tastefully designed without frills and flashy graphics. It has more or less only the basic functions but works well without being nearly as resource intensive as other poker programs. One great thing about Crypto poker rooms is the newly introduced Pro View feature which allows you to play up to 12 tables simultaneously without overlap.

Games & Tournaments

Similar to the other Cryptologic network online poker rooms reviewed here, Interpoker (Interpoker review), William Hill (William Hill review) and World Poker Tour ([World Poker Tour review]), Parbet offers ring games and tournaments in three different currencies, GBP/EUR/USD. NL traffic is good, there are lots of active tables in the 0.03/0.06 - 25/50 range. Games up to 5/10 are the most popular with 10-20 tables in full swing on each level. Whether you prefer full ring or short-handed play doesn't matter, you'll find both alternatives here any time of day. FL traffic is also fairly high, especially at the low-mid limits, 0.15/0.30 to 5/10. The active FL tables are almost always 6-max, full ring games has to be found elsewhere. The PLO and PLO8 sections usually have a few ongoing tables, almost exclusively lower limits. You can also find a handful of 7-stud tables here, these are also lower limit ones.

Parbet's tournament selection is really good, especially if you like cheaper ones. MTTs with buy-ins from 2 to 25 are plentiful, many of them with guaranteed prize pools. There's also a number of Head Hunter tournaments with entry fees of 2-10, where you get paid for every opponent you take out. For the more advanced players, there are daily $25-50 and weekly $100 bashes, all with guaranteed prize pools. The SnGs section is a busy one, tables from 1-100 are easy to find day or night. Most are regular or speed NL ones but you'll also find a couple of Omaha ones from time to time. The speed tournaments, where you get a mere 12 seconds to decide what to do, are easily identifiable in the lobby as "Thunder/Thunderstorm" ones. They seem to become more and more popular for every passing day.

Promotions And Support

Parbet have ditched the concept of a signup bonus as such, and now offer an "opt-in" cash-back program with a generous level of returns. Check the Parbet site for details but remember - you must opt in to take advantage before you play! For every hand where the pot reaches 20 units, you'll recieve 1 MPP and for pots of 5-19 units, 0.25 MPPs. Translation: If you play NL with blinds of 2/5 or above, or FL at 3/6 or above, you will release Bonus 2 after 1000-1200 raked hands making this a good bonus. I wouldn't attempt it at limits lower than these, it simply isn't worth the time or effort needed. Reloads are frequent, check web page for current offers.

Parbet Poker's support is one of the better ones, all emails are answered the same day and relates precisely to your question. A freephone support number is listed and phone support is available 24/7 for Scandinavian, UK and Polish players.

Banking

There are quite a few deposit options, choose between VISA/MasterCard, Neteller, Click2Pay, paysafecard, Citadel, FirePay, EveryWhereMoney, Bank Transfer or Cheque. Withdrawals to Neteller are really fast, 12-24 hours thanks to ECash Direct. Cahouts to VISA are also processed quickly, somewhere between 2-5 days.

Conclusion

Despite being in the shade of the two large Crypto rooms, Parbet Poker manages to offer a well-run poker room with excellent customer service and speedy cashouts. The welcome bonus is a good one (see above) and these three qualities alone makes for a place to which you will want to come back time after time. Highly recommended.
