Source: http://www.bluffed.netEspecially strong results in Poland Fortuna Entertainment Group (FEG) reported solid overall results on its business during the Euro 2012 football championship held between June 8 and July 1 in Poland and Ukraine. According to FEG, it registered 9 000 new online customers which broken down into its three markets comprise; Poland - 1 700 (up 18 percent), the Czech Republic - 4 300 and Slovakia - 3 000. Poland especially delivered heartening results for the firm with an additional 3 800 newly registered clients in its Polish betting outlets. Polish customers, for the first time in Fortuna's history, bet more on a major sporting event than their Slovak counterparts, reflected perhaps by the Slovak national team failing to qualify for the tournament. Amounts staked reached almost Euro 17 million, of which: - Euro 4.7 million or 28% was accepted in Poland - Euro 8.4 million or 49% in the Czech Republic - Euro 3.9 million or 23% was taken in Slovakia. An increase of 25% in the volume of overall Amounts Staked were recorded compared to the last football EURO in 2008. The Czech Republic yielded the biggest portion of online bets with 42% of EURO 2012 bets derived through the internet, followed by Slovakia with 38% and Poland 14.2 percent. The Polish market stands out considering the online platform has only been available in that market for a short five months. Fortuna said the company paid-out record winnings that amounted to almost Euro 14 Million, representing an increase of more than 30% over EURO 2008.
