By Day 3 that field had been reduced to Italian player Rocco Polumbo and his final table adversaries Nelson Robinson, Thomas Conway, Niel Mittelman, Jason Everett, Kevin Elia, Anke Berner, Patrick Karschamroon and David Forster. By level 27, with the blinds at 25,000-50,000 with a 5,000 ante, it was down to just two men - Rocco Polumbo and Nelson Robinson, with the Italian holding a 2 to 1 lead and leading the action at a scorching pace. The game barely lasted another level before Robinson was busted out despite managing several double USA giving the Italian his first bracelet along with the main prize of $464,464, and the distinction of taking home the first Italian WSOP bracelet in four years. Robinson's second placing was worth $288,448. Woman player Anke Berner finished seventh on a tough final table.
