The 2012 World Series of Poker will probably dominate poker news for the next few weeks following the start Sunday of the Casino Employees event.
The 43rd edition of poker's biggest spectacular saw Tournament Director Jack Effel and veteran poker dealer Richard Turnbull give the traditional 'shuffle up and deal' call to launch the $500 buy-in event, with a field in excess of 750 hopefuls registered at the Rio in Las Vegas.
Today (Monday) will see the start of the first event open to all comers around noon Las Vegas time.
