The mercurial Swedish internet high stakes cash game poker player Viktor "Isildur1" Blom continued to build his reputation as a tournament ace this week with two big wins in the Pokerstars' Spring Championship of Online Poker.
Blom bested a starting field of 8,240 players in the $215 no-limit hold'em event, collecting his first big online title and a winner's check for $247,000, and then went on to win the $530 re-buy six-max no-limit hold'em for another $160,000 boost to his bank balance, this time triumphing over an entry field of 486 hopefuls.
Earlier this year Blom took home his biggest live tournament score yet, winning $1,254,000 in the $100,000 buy-in Super High Roller at the Pokerstars Caribbean Adventure series (see previous report).
