25th April, 2012 at 12:03:59
Source: http://www.bluffed.netOrinic appears to have no further use for a class 2 Alderney licence The application for a Class 2 Alderney Gaming Control Commission licence submitted recently by Full Tilt Poker subsidiary Orinic Limited (see previous reports) was taken by many in the industry as an indicator that FTP was about to be resurrected by Groupe Bernard Tapie, but that has all changed this week with Tapie's withdrawal from the acquisition and rumours that Pokerstars is now the front runner. It was perhaps these changed circumstances that triggered another startling development Wednesday, when the AGCC announced that Orinic had withdrawn its application, and that the scheduled May 3rd public hearing on the application had been cancelled. No official reasons for the Orinic withdrawal had been given when went to press Wednesday evening, but informal and unconfirmed reports suggest that public objections were going to form part of the hearing.
